Honeymoon Packing List for Grooms

When your wedding day comes knocking, there is so much more to think about than solely the actual process of getting married. Thinking about the event, planning out the venue and the whole schedule, decorations, music, buffet, and bar are just some of the tasks on your never-ending to-do list. And once you think that it’s all over, and once the wedding celebration passes, you realize that you still haven’t thought about what to pack for your honeymoon. This might be slightly easier for women as they plan everything in their heads, but guys are not like this. What is there to do when you only have a day or two to pack for your honeymoon? Luckily for you, we came up with the best possible list:

Take care of the essentials first

It doesn’t matter where you’re going, the thing that should always be on the top of your priority list is the essentials. But what do we mean by this? These are the things that you cannot travel without, or things that would be impossible for you to buy at your destination. This, first of all, includes all the airline tickets, passports, visas, driver’s licenses and any other documentation that you might need. That is why it would be great to start making a list of the essentials beforehand and add to it whenever you think of something you know you will need. Any booking confirmations, medication prescriptions and traveler’s checks are next on the list. Once you have all this in place, think about the equipment you will need, such as the camera, chargers and power banks.

Pick your combinations in advance

In order not to overthink when you get to your honeymoon destination (as you will need the time to do something else), but also to save up some space in your luggage, it would be for the best to prepare your combinations in advance. Think about the weather there and what kind of clothes you want to be wearing. Will you rock a formal or a casual style? Depending on that, choose the pieces of clothing you want to take with you. Do not forget the accessories. Bringing a good wristwatch with you will help you turn any outfit combination into an elegant one. If you want to go the extra mile, you can always opt for fashionable money clips for men that can fit in your pocket – there’s no need for a thick wallet that you will carry around in your hand. Lastly, make a wise choice for the footwear you’ll take with you – the last thing you need are uncomfortable shoes.

Time for entertainment

Not many people think of packing for entertainment, especially for a honeymoon. Assuming that you will spend, let’s say, 10 incredible days with your loved one is the way to go, but there will come a time when you will want to focus on something that you like. That’s why you should always stock your phone with cool music and perhaps bring a good book for you to read while on the beach (if it’s a summer honeymoon destination). If both of you are on the same page, perhaps you can also pack a deck of cards or a board game you like.

Just in case

Finally, leave space in your luggage for items that can come in very handy during your stay there. These include any beauty products that you’re using, plus sunscreen. The latter is incredibly important, regardless of where you’re going. You will need it on the beach, but you will also need it if you’re going to a mountain as the harmful UV rays can penetrate through clouds as well. Add some just-in-case medications to the list as well, such as aspirin, antacid, diarrhea medicine or motion sickness medicine.

On the one hand, preparing for your honeymoon is an activity that both of you are probably looking forward to. But on the other hand, packing can be quite nerve-wracking. What can you do? Create a list seven days prior to the trip and take your time to add any item you think of. Bon voyage!
