Springtime Guide for Wedding Guest Outfits

Is there anything more romantic than a spring wedding? After spending months daydreaming about the smell of freshly mowed grass and the buzzing of bees we will finally be able to experience it. Brides are in love with spring weddings, and guests love it too because this is the perfect time to take out your best clothes that have been waiting in the back of your closet. Also, keep in mind that even though the days are warm, the evenings can still be a bit chilly, so it’s important to wear layers.

Girly girl

For those who love lace and glitter, spring weddings are great because you will be able to wear your most beloved lace dress, glittery flats and a cashmere cardigan. When it comes to hair, make soft waves and pin it with pearl hair pins you can make yourself, or wear it in a lovely half-updo. Discreet makeup goes perfectly with this look: pink lip gloss, some shimmery eye shadow and a touch of mascara. Bohemian style dresses with lace backs and ethnic embroidery are also lovely, and they will make you look feminine. A nice little clutch bag that matches your flats, and nail polish in same colour will make your girly girl look complete.

An elegant femme fatale

How often do you have a chance to get all dressed up and be your most elegant self? Weddings are perfect for this because you will not always have a chance to wear a floor-length dress with stiletto heels and pearls. If you’d like to be elegant, wear your hair in a sleek bun at the base of your neck. Also, don’t forget pearl jewellery – a discreet necklace and earrings, and perhaps a bracelet. Feminine satin party dresses are a great choice because you can wear a knee-length or floor-length one and still look like a femme fatale. For a look like this, you’ll need just a touch of eyeliner and some matte crimson lipstick, and you’ll certainly be noticed by everyone.

Suit up

Who says that suits are just for men? If you like wearing power suits and you don’t think that dresses are obligatory, choosing to wear a bespoke suit might be the best option for you. Keep in mind that black is not considered the best choice for weddings, so if your pants and jacket are black, break the pattern by wearing a bright shirt and accessories. On the other hand, gray and navy suits are also elegant, and they go perfectly with colourful accessories: bright yellow or burgundy will definitely make you stand out. You can keep your hair in a sleek bun or in soft waves as a contrast to your strict look.

Flower power forever

With flowers everywhere, it’s only natural that you find inspiration in nature and dress in floral print pieces. Head-to-toe flower outfits may be a bit over the top, especially if you decide to add matching shoes to the mix, so we suggest you tone it down a bit and pick a piece or two with this print instead. Even the simplest sassy day dress can look amazing if you enhance it with the right jewellery and nice makeup. Daisies and carnations will make you look younger while roses will give you a more dignified look.

Details matter, and when you pick the perfect outfit you should focus on picking a good jacket or a light scarf. At a certain point in the evening you will probably go out to get some fresh air, and that is when you’ll be grateful you have something to keep you warm. Still, at the wedding your number one priority is to have fun and celebrate the love and marriage of your dear friends.
