Get Wings

Winged eyeliner is back in fashion in a big way and looks sophisticated and glamorous. If it feels too harsh, you can soften it up a bit without missing out on the beautiful trend, such as by creating delicate flicks of eyeliner in the outer corners of your eyes instead of drawing thick lines all over. If black eye liner looks too strong you can use brown eyeliner instead. An even softer effect is to opt for pencil liners instead of liquid products.

Prettify with Coral Shades

Coral is a shade that looks so pretty in bridal makeup, plus it’s not as brash as orange. It also works well on many skin tones. Choose a shade that contains a slight pink hue if it’s a better match. On your eyes, don’t be afraid to switch your black eyeliner for a coral shade. This is a great way to be bolder on your big day. Coral also works beautifully with other colors, such as browns and golds, creating a dew-fresh and romantic look.

Be Chic with Coconut Oil

The use of coconut oil in skincare and hair care is becoming a huge trend and it looks like it’s here to stay. It’s a great DIY beauty treat for brides.

  • For hair: Massage coconut oil into your scalp to promote circulation and allow stronger, healthier hair to grow. Coconut oil is full of healthy fatty acids and Vitamin E to prevent the loss of protein in hair so you don’t suffer breakage.
  • For skin: Look for coconut oil in your light summer skin moisturizers (or make your own) because it improves circulation, is anti-bacterial and keeps your skin regenerating so that fresh, gorgeous skin cells can be on display.

Get Pearlescent Skin

Skin that glows naturally is all the rage in beauty trends this year, and being a naturally beautiful bride is always a good thing. Go easy on the foundation by only using it on areas that are hungry for coverage, and use highlighters on your skin to achieve radiance. Apply a cream highlighter to the cheekbones, chin and bridge of the nose – this is where light, and those camera flashes, will strike so you want to accentuate your bone structure and glow gorgeously.

Let Your Eyes Shine

Don’t forget about making your eyes sparkle! You can do this easily with a quick splash of shimmery yellow-green color on your eyelids. This diffuses any redness in your eyes thanks to allergies or hay fever that can strike in summer and makes the whites of your eyes look whiter, so it’s also a great DIY tip if you’re battling with tired-looking eyes on the morning of your wedding.

Braids Go Casual

Summer weddings make you think of less beauty and hair maintenance, and that’s where braids come in to give your locks a trendy yet easy-to-achieve look. As seen on summer runways this year, tousled plaits on the bottom section of your hair give your look something different. If you want your hair to match your chic and sophisticated bridal appearance, a crown of braids is a great idea and works wonderfully for glamorous evening weddings.

Bring on the Sultry Texture

When your complexion looks luminous like you’ve just returned from an island holiday, you want your hair to match. Getting curls or waves is a great way to achieve this carefree yet gorgeous look. It doesn’t have to be too structured: use curlers on the lower part of your hair to get sultry waves, or let your hair air-dry if it’s naturally wavy. A sea salt spray is all you need to keep the locks textured all day long.

Flaunt Unique Shapes

If you have interestingly shaped diamonds in your wedding ring, highlight them with other jewelry. For instance, you could wear pear-shaped pendant earrings to match the pear-shaped stone on your finger. Any jewelry piece can become a statement on its own if it’s in an eye-catching shape, though, and it doesn’t have to match anything else. The trend is all about statement pieces that are creative and unique. For instance, a triangular-shaped turquoise gemstone necklace is the epitome of style for a boho chic bride. Choose a distinctive piece to make a glamorous statement and pull together your look.

Choose Accessories Wisely

When choosing gorgeous accessories for your big day, take your wedding jewelry into account. If your bridal jewelry is fine and delicate, bring a larger statement piece (such as with earrings) to add boldness. However, if your bridal rings are already colorful and large, stick to small touches of delicate jewelry, such as diamond stud earrings or a thin bracelet, so as not to overpower them. If you are wearing a hair accessory such as flowers, match them to your bridal jewelry by choosing flowers of the same colors as your gemstones. This creates a beautiful look that will make you radiant all over.

Staying up-to-date with the current bridal trends and timeless fashions will make you an eye-catching bride on your most special day.
