A really eyeopening book on medical practice.
“You’ve got a tumor,” must be one of the most frightening diagnosis to receive. I was delivered that news not once, but twice. What I learned through my journey towards good health is exactly what Julia Schopick describes in her book “Honest Medicine: Effective, Time-Tested, Inexpensive Treatments for Life Threatening Diseases”.
In the first chapters of this book, Julia recounts her motivation for completing this book – she lost her husband, Tim, as a result of complications from brain tumor surgery. Complications which could have been avoided if alternative treatment was seriously considered.
Julia does not dismiss the use of ‘conventional medicine’. It is good as far as it goes. Modern diagnostic methods, surgery and pharmaceuticals have saved millions of people – including me. In addition, she does not advocate using only alternative methods either.
