The first day of Bridal Market certainly did not disappoint. Our editors spent the day taking in the latest looks in bridal fashion—from soft, romantic designs to sleek, modern stunners. The Spring 2015 collections have us swooning already, and we’re just getting started! Let’s take a look at some of our favorite looks from Day One.
Just look at this awesome, easy-going architectural glamour from Angel Sanchez (see the full collection here). We always look forward to his presentation because the dresses are different and interesting, but not merely for the sake of being so. There’s a unique beauty to his designs, one that works well for the modern bride, and we simply can never get enough.
Angel also revealed this short, flirty wedding dress with a cutout back – perfect for the bride who wants to have some fun!
Vamping it up at Kelly Faetanini!
Kelly did a live editorial photo shoot for her presentation this year, which meant we got to watch as models got their hair done, makeup done, and then posed for the camera. One of our editors was lucky enough to catch this vamp-y shot, in which the gorgeous model got completely caught up in the sentiment of the sexy, form-fitting gown she was wearing.
It was such a treat to have Zac Posen himself on hand to walk us through his stunning, stunning social occasions collection,Truly Zac Posen. The line is available at David’s Bridal. For the feminine glamour they offer, the price point on these dresses is absolutely insane—this pink one retails for under $250!
We love the subtle pleated pattern and elegant lace detailing on this budget-friendly Truly Zac Posen ball gown.
Zac also designed fabulously affordable accessories for his Truly line, including gorgeous cushioned bridal shoes, starting at $85.
Reem Acra’s show surprised and delighted on many levels. She kicked things off with a completely unexpected hip-hop dance trio, and then sent look after look of easy-going glam down the runway—and closed with even more dancing (check out our Instagram to see!). My favorite detail was the slightly sporty aesthetic of this dramatic deep V.
Another stunner from Reem Acra. She wanted to design a dress for every bride, and the result is a beautifully diverse collection. The bodice on this subtly glam gown was one of our favorites.
Anne Bowen dazzled us with glamorous, sophisticated looks. From luxe sequin bodices to plush, silk-lined shawls, this collection is a winter bride’s dream.
