Your Bachelorette Weekend Ideas

Gwen Lewis is a makeup artist and a writer who lives in California. She loves to write from experience and share her tips and tricks. One of her best friends is getting married this summer and she is also trying to figure out what to do for her bachelorette weekend.

The man of your dreams has popped the question. The date is reserved, you have the dress, your venue is booked; the only thing that’s left to do is say, “I do!”

Before you say those vows, though, celebrate your last days of being a single lady with an awesome bachelorette party. Gather your bridesmaids and your best girlfriends and paint the town red!

While staying local and hopping around a few bars could certainly be fun, why not go the extra mile and visit someplace new and do something exciting! Here are some pretty awesome suggestions for a bachelorette party that will be remembered forever.

Miami, Baby!

Boasting some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, happening nightlife and relaxing spas, Miami is the ideal destination for a pre-wedding retreat with the girls. Book a suite – or two – at one of the city’s posh boutique hotels. Spend the day soaking up the sun at the beach, or getting pampered to the fullest at one of the Miami spas. Then, when the sun goes down, spend the night on the town.

There are so many amazing places to experience here, including 5-star restaurants, vibrant cabarets and trendy nightclubs.

Be a Part Of It – in New York

If you’re looking to have an affair to remember, head to the City that Never Sleeps – the Big Apple, itself; New York! This city literally NEVER sleeps. There is so much to experience here that you may actually have a hard time deciding what you should do to celebrate your bachelorette party.

Some awesome ideas include dining in one of the trendy restaurants, taking in a show on Broadway, touring a museum or two (if that’s more your speed), taking in all of the amazing action of Times Square, or going to a super hip and happening club. Pull out your leg warmers and your day-glo socks and head to the Culture Club, which pays homage to the 1980s and includes a color-block, light-up dance floor and even impersonators of your favorite 80s icons, like Boy George!

Go Au Natural

If you consider yourself a natural girl, how about getting outside and enjoy the beauty of Mother Nature for your bachelorette party? Some fun ideas include a weekend of hiking and camping at a National Park, or spending some time at a beach you have always wanted to go to, where you can take up some surfing lessons with your lady friends. Imagine how much fun you will have!

Theme Party

If you are a homebody or more of a budget, stay lock and you can really jazz up an evening of bar hopping by planning a themed bachelorette party. Some great ideas include Sex and the City, or you could all wear your favorite 80s attire, or dress up like showgirls. While you’re all dressed up, don’t forget to go on a scavenger hunt! Collect things throughout the night, including glasses from local bars, phone numbers written on shirts and photos with a bartender.

Dressed to Impress

Whatever you choose to do, don’t forget to dress to impress. Get some pampering done before you go out and you’ll feel like a million bucks! Go get your hair and makeup done with your girlfriends for your last single night out; plump up those lips, wear a new outfit, new shoes and walah you are ready for your last night as a Miss.

As your last night on the town before you take the big plunge, make it as memorable as possible by trying one of these exciting suggestions.
