Your Wedding is the most important day of your life, and this why it is fundamental that it is as perfect as you dream. Whether you choose to get married on a beach in Santorini, or in a beautiful church in your home town, your wedding day should be as special as you are!
There are so many ways you can make your day special, and it is all about personal choice; so I have chosen to share with you a couple of great ways to make your day unique, beautiful and filled with love.
Create your own beautiful invitations
Not every bride and groom feel they need save the date invitations, however, if you are planning on having a long engagement with the wedding in the distant future, save the date cards are a great idea.
If you are as organised as me, the minute that beautiful ring is placed on your finger you will be thinking about the venue in which your wedding will be held. If you want a summer wedding it is more than likely that popular wedding venues will be booked in advance, therefore it is important that you think ahead, book your magical venue, and secure your loved ones place on your very special day.
Your invitations are the first part to your wedding, they set the tone and mood of your overall theme and this is why I believe picking the right one is important. I have always loved the thought of making your own invitations as it gives that personal touch that every bride is hoping for. However, despite this being a wonderful idea, unfortunately not all of us have the time to create the beautiful wedding invitations we always dreamt of. This is why I choose to use online companies which allow you to design and create your own invitations, leaving all of the personal touches up to you, and the hard work to them.
Not only can you personalise your wedding invitations, but you can also create RSVP cards, engagement party cards, hen do cards and thank you cards all in the same format and style to match your perfect wedding.
By personalising certain aspects of your big day, you can make your wedding look incredibly special. This can be from the table decorations to the seating chart, show your personality by doing something a little bit different. I recently choose to make each guest a cupcake as their wedding favour, and personalised them by writing everyone’s initials in icing. Granted this took me some time, however if you are catering for a small wedding party, all It will take is a couple of batches of cupcake mixture, decoration of the cakes, and you will be finished. These are beautiful touches which I am sure your guests would appreciate.
These are a few more ideas which I have found work brilliantly as wedding favours:
- Giant jars of heart shaped sweets and chocolates
- Crystals with the guests name engraved
- Specially made photo frames for your guests to cherish the day forever
As well as wedding favours, it is important to consider the placement cards and seating chart. I always find making your own placement cards is a great alternative to buying them from a shop. By making these yourself you add can the personal touches that shop bought place cards wouldn’t be able to achieve. These can be done by endless pots of glitter and glue, or again, you can make them online, using digital companies which will dramatically cut the cost purchasing them in stores.
You will want to remember your wedding forever, so make sure you create the wedding of your dreams using your DIY skills and creative edge.
