It is often said that the best of Ottawa’s wedding vendors attend the Palace show. The biggest categories of vendors were photography/videography and reception facilities. The twice daily fashion show is always well attended by bright eyed brides.
This year I was in the hunt for the WOW effect. If a couple could find one thing to WOW their guests, what would it be. I found many outstanding displays for decor that really made an impact. The decor can be categorized into three themes: contemporary, naturalistic and romantic.
Before I get into the various displays, I want to show you some items from the show that were fun and fancy. First is the tree display from Tulips & Maple Catering made of loaves of bread and lettuce.
And there were the flowers by FlowersInspire placed in Sax Appeal‘s saxophones.
In the contemporary category, I really liked this arrangement from Toast Special Events. The addition of a buddha figure in the centre piece and in the candle columns was creative. The stripes added simplicity and elegance.
and by Moonlight Events and My Events for example.
Naturalist‘s include elements such as twigs, wood and moss in their displays.
The final category of romantic is has a prominent abundance of flowers.
With such a great show of talent, a bride and groom sure have choices in what decor they choose for their special day.
