Church weddings appeal to our sense of tradition and are romantic. However, many couples don’t like the religious dogma that comes with a church. Brides and grooms can now have their church set wedding with All Seasons Weddings‘ new charming country chapel.
I hear it a lot from brides and grooms. Their parents would really like them to have a church set wedding. However, the couple either don’t have the religious believe that would allow them to have one or are faced with church policy on non-members.
There are some churches in Ottawa that will allow you to book their sanctuary for a ceremony. Unfortunately, you are at the whim of their schedule. I’ve found that most are not up to the rigors of modern wedding needs. I certainly found that when I stage managed a choral conductor‘s conference in May when I worked four downtown churches. They don’t have air conditioning for the hot summer months and sufficient electrical power to accommodate DJs‘ and musicians’ equipment as two examples.
Recognizing this need, All Seasons Weddings of Ottawa has opened a country chapel totally dedicated to wedding ceremonies. All Seasons Weddings purchased and renovated a historic church to offer 7-day a week non-denominational wedding ceremonies.
Restored to its 18th century charm, the church holds from 2 to 100 people seated with 50 more on chairs at the rear. There is also a special parents gallery at the front. The warm and welcoming wedding space features red carpeted aisles, beautiful, restored hardwood floors and pews. The romantic feel is complete with the sunlight streaming through the original stained glass windows.
Upgrades include air conditioning and electrical outlets. All the items on the ceremony space are movable to tailor to the couples vision of their wedding.
Located about 30 kilometers south of the Ottawa International Airport, it is a great space that is close to major reception venues of Strathmere Inn, Stanley’s Olde Maple Farm, Orchardview, Southway Inn, Centurion Center, Giuseppina Palace and several golf courses.
You can call for a tour during office hours at 613-821-1106. Pricing is flexible to meet every need from 2–150 guests. Address is 3249 Yorks Corners Rd

I’m really excited because I’ve got weddings booked in there for 2013.
